THC and CBD are the two chemicals found in marijuana and used in the production of many CBD products. CBD stands for Cannabinoid while THC stands for Tetrahydrocannabinol. There is a regulatory system in our body which is known as the endocannabinoid system. This system has two receptors, CB1 and CB2. THC combines with the CB1 receptors and make a person to get high. CBD combines with the CB2 receptors and helps us in a number of ways without getting us high. If you are consuming a CBD product which contains both the CBD and THC in it, the CBD will minimize the impact of THC on you by restricting THC from binding themselves to the receptors in the endocannabinoid system. However, different types of CBD products contain different amount of CBD and THC in them. The difference in their proportion has a significant difference in its effects on our body.
In my opinion, we must check the labels of CBD products when we go for buying them. It will help us in determining whether we are buying the right CBD product with minimum/no THC or not. In this way, we can control the effects of THC on our body and health.
